Declaration of Partnership Building
SUNDRUG Co., Ltd. has endorsed the intent of the Declaration of Partnership Building and submitted its own declaration on May 8, 2023.
The Declaration of Partnership Building is a declaration by the top representatives of companies to build new mutually beneficial relationships with trading partners in an effort to achieve a “virtuous cycle of growth and distribution” by strengthening the partnership with their trading partners that share supply chains.
Through its own Declaration of Partnership Building, SUNDRUG will strive for mutual respect of each other’s value and solutions to common issues, with the aim of realizing a better society.
SUNDRUG’s declaration clearly states the following.

We will seriously address various problems, including problems related to the environment, energy, and logistics.
We will act with the conviction that respecting each other’s existence and value and aiming to co-exist and co-prosper will, by extension, lead to the realization of a sustainable society.
(Other) Voluntary statement
SUNDRUG has endorsed the intentions of the White Logistics movement and announced a voluntary action declaration.
In addition to continuing to address the various challenges in the logistics, we will share our know-how with our trading partners in our efforts to optimize our supply chains.

This helpline accepts information from supply chain partners who have experienced or witnessed the following kinds of behavior by SUNDRUG employees.
Compliance violations, forceful demands for money, entertainment, etc.
Abuse of superior status, violations of the Act against Delay in Payment of Subcontract Proceeds, Etc. to Subcontractors, acts of harassment, human rights violations, etc.

Voluntary Action Declaration for the White Logistics Movement
SUNDRUG endorses the intentions of the White Logistics movement, which aims to improve working conditions to eliminate the shortage of truck drivers and achieve more efficient logistics operations. On November 10, 2022, we submitted our 16-point voluntary action declaration for the realization of sustainable logistics.
－White Logistics Movement－
The White Logistics movement is a joint initiative of the public and private sectors to tackle the shortage of truck drivers caused by the chronic issue of long working hours and other issues.
Specific Initiatives
(1) Improve productivity of truck transportation and logistics efficiency
(2) Create a better working environment for all drivers, including women and drivers aged in their sixties.

All our products generate value only when they have been conveyed by logistics networks and delivered into our customers’ hands.
We will continue to engage seriously in our efforts to resolve social issues, including through the initiative of “White Logistics.”
